When you roundtrip content, you MUST apply a Typefi Section to each InDesign section. If you do not, the content will not appear in the Content XML.
For example, if you were to hand-edit a generated InDesign file, add some pages, and then export the InDesign file back into Content XML, you must apply a Typefi Section to each additional InDesign section. Applying a Typefi Section makes sure the InDesign section is exported back to Content XML.
Applying a Typefi Section does not apply any visible formatting. Rather, Typefi Designer adds three custom script labels behind-the-scenes that record the Section's type, name, and ID, which is used by the Export to Content XML workflow action.
To apply a Typefi Section:
- Open the Typefi Sections panel (Window → Typefi → Sections).
- Select the document page in the Pages panel that is to become the start page of a Typefi Section.
- From the Typefi Sections panel menu, click the Apply selected section icon.
You can simultaneously insert an InDesign section when applying a Typefi section (Typefi Sections panel menu → Automatically Insert Section).
