The Edit document properties action allows you to modify PDF document properties (metadata) and change how the PDF appears when it’s first opened. PDF document properties includes information about the document and its contents, such as the author’s name, keywords, and copyright information, that can be used by search utilities and assistive technologies like screen readers.
General
Input | Choose the source PDF document |
Output | Enter the name of the modified PDF document |
Title | Enter a document title (see also Initial view → Display title below) |
Author | Enter one or more authors* |
Subject | Enter a descriptive subject that search utilities may use to identify the document |
Keywords | Enter one or more keywords* that search utilities may use to locate or categorize the document |
Document language | Enter an ISO 639-1 language code (for example, "en" for English) to set the appropriate language and pronunciation rules when assistive technologies are reading the document |
Reading order | Choose Structure (default) to tell screen readers to use the internal PDF structure tags to interpret the document content; or choose Row or Column to override this setting (not recommended) |

Navigation tab | Choose whether bookmarks, thumbnails, the toolbar, and the menu bar are displayed when the document is opened:

Magnification | Choose the magnification (zoom) when the document is opened:

Display title | Choose whether to display the Document title or File name in the Acrobat title bar when the document is opened (see also, General → Title above) |
