Use Apply watermark (formerly Add watermark) to apply a watermark to a PDF document. Watermarks are a common way to identify work and discourage their unauthorised use. Watermarks can appear either in front of or behind existing document content.

Parameters |
Specifies which pages of the watermark file to apply to specific pages of the input file.
If the watermark file is a single-page, then options include:
- none (default): All input pages are watermarked.
- odd: Only odd pages are watermarked.
- even: Only even pages are watermarked.
If the watermark file is more than one page (for example, you have one watermark for odd pages, and another for even pages), then options include:
- none (default): All input pages are watermarked. If the input has more pages than the watermark, then the remaining input pages are not watermarked.
- odd: All odd watermark pages are applied to odd input pages. If the input has more pages than the watermark, then the remaining input pages are not watermarked.
- even: All even watermark pages are applied to even input pages. If the input has more pages than the watermark, then the remaining input pages are not watermarked.
- repeat: All watermark pages are applied to all input pages. If the input has more pages than the watermark, then the watermark repeats.
- odd;repeat: All odd watermark pages are applied to odd input pages. If the input has more pages than the watermark, then the watermark repeats.
- even;repeat: All even watermark pages are applied to even input pages. If the input has more pages than the watermark, then the watermark repeats.
- a specific page number (for example, 2): Only the watermark on the specified page of the watermark file is applied to each page of the input.
