Typefi Workgroup 8.7.2 system requirements

Your computer must meet the minimum technical specifications outlined in this article to run and use Typefi Server for Workgroup (Typefi Workgroup) 8.7.2.

System requirements

• Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019; or macOS Big Sur (11.0), Catalina (10.15), or Mojave (10.14)
  • OpenJDK 11 (see Switching to OpenJDK)
  • Apache Tomcat 9 (for Linux only; bundled with our installers for Windows and macOS)
• Adobe InDesign Server 2021 (16.x), InDesign Server 2020 (15.x), or InDesign Server 2019 (14.x). To upgrade from InDesign Server 2021 16.2 to 16.4, follow the instructions in this help article.
• InDesign workflow plug-in v32 or later
• 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended), and an additional 2–8 GB per instance of InDesign Server
• Multicore (64-bit) processor
• Fast storage I/O

Is Typefi Workgroup 8.7.2 compatible with Apple Silicon?

Typefi Workgroup 8.7.2 is only compatible with Apple silicon-based systems using Rosetta 2 emulation. While an Apple ARM64-compatible build of OpenJDK 16 exists, Typefi Workgroup 8.7.2 requires OpenJDK 11, which does not natively support Apple ARM64-based systems.
