Windows users: Adobe InDesign 2024 (v19.4) and InDesign 2023 (v18.5.2.) may stop working and close abruptly while running a Typefi workflow. However, the job will successfully complete in Typefi Server. | We have notified Adobe and expect a fix soon. |
Mac users: If you are using a Mac with macOS versions 14.3 or 14.4, you might encounter an error when trying to sign in to https://cloud.typefi.net through FileManager, which states: ''An error occurred when trying to log in. Error Description: SSL connect error. Error code: 35'. This is due to an issue with version 8.4 of curl bundled with macOS. |
As a workaround, updating to macOS v14.5 (with curl v8.6.0) fixes this issue. |
Invisible objects in Typefi AutoFit relationships cause Adobe InDesign to stop responding. | Avoid selecting locked, empty layers in the Layers panel. We apologise for the inconvenience and will provide an update in an upcoming release. |
Adobe InDesign 2023 (v18.0 or later), when used as a composition engine for Typefi Desktop, may experience a rare crash when closing documents at the end of a job. | The issue is fixed with Adobe InDesign 2023 version 18.5. We recommend that Typefi Desktop users update to InDesign 2023 (v18.5 or later.) |
Soft styles, like italics, may be ignored, regardless of your Create InDesign document/book 🠒 Advanced 🠒 Soft Styles settings. If Create InDesign document uses InDesign Server 2020 or 2021, you cannot publish a document with a video Element. If you try to publish a document with a video Element, you get this error message: Error: Request failed because the underlying functionality is no longer available in the current version of the application . This error occurs because Adobe now blocks Flash content from running . | There is no workaround at this time. |
macOS will not install Typefi Designer because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. | Upgrade to Typefi Designer 8.7.2 or later. Alternatively, follow the troubleshooting steps in this article. |
Saving a Typefi-ready template (.indd) as IDML does not retain the Section and Element Fields used in the Section or Element. | Manually add the Fields back to their corresponding Section or Element.
