This article explains the importance of file versioning and provides guidance on how to enable file versioning in Typefi Filestore.
Prerequisites
- You can sign in to your Typefi Server with administrator credentials.
What is file versioning?
File versioning allows you to keep a complete record of all revisions made to each file. This feature also makes it easy to restore previous versions of a file if necessary.
Use case for enabling versioning
Streamlining workflow recovery with file versioning
Possible Scenario: Your team is collaborating on an important file with publication deadlines approaching fast when an unintentional change to the template breaks the workflow, resulting in failed jobs. Unfortunately, someone overwrote the original template, making it challenging to retrieve the working version without involving IT, which might be time-consuming and complex.
Solution: Enable file versioning for your team. File versioning offers a reliable solution to streamline workflow recovery by enabling your team to quickly recover from template breakdowns, restore workflows, and ensure smooth progress toward project deadlines.
