In Typefi Filestore, you can manage your organisation’s file settings. You can enable file versioning, customise settings for purging file versions, and control which file types are approved.
Prerequisites
- You can sign in to Typefi Server with administrator credentials.
Filestore tab
To access file settings, follow these steps:
- Sign in to Typefi Server with administrator credentials.
- Go to Admin → Filestore.

Folder |
The directory path for your Typefi Filestore folder must be an absolute local path using either theC:/ or D:/ drive, for example, C:/ProgramData/Typefi/Filestore or D:/path/to/Filestore .Note: Shared network paths are not supported. |
Whitelisted File Types | Contains a list of allowed or permitted file formats. Typefi Server only allows or permits file formats included in the list of Whitelisted File Types. You may add additional file types to the default list. |
Restore Defaults | Allows you to reset the default file types compatible with Typefi Server. |
Enable versioning | Allows your team to begin storing and tracking multiple versions of your files. Every time the file is modified, a new version is created to maintain a record of changes. For more detail, see the help article, Enable file versioning in Typefi Filestore. |
Max # of Versions to Keep | The maximum number of historical file versions to keep when purging file versions. Once the maximum number of versions is reached, the system will delete (purge) the oldest versions, and keep only the latest versions. Days to Keep Files | Specify how many days you want to retain files before purging them to prevent unnecessary storage consumption. For more detail, see the help article, Purging file versions to free up storage space. |
Purge | Activates and applies your rules for Max # of Versions to Keep and Days to Keep Files. Purge triggers the automatic deletion or replacement of older versions based on your defined maximum number and time duration. For more detail, see the help article, Purging file versions to free up storage space. |
