Set the value of a Section Field

A Typefi Section Field is a type of Field that is used within a Typefi Section. Section Fields are commonly used for inserting section-level content, such as a chapter name.

If your publication includes any Section Fields, the layout designer must create them in the Typefi-ready template.

You can set the value of a Section Field when you insert a Section, and you can update a Section Field's value when you edit a Section.

Set the Section Field value when inserting a Section

1. Insert the Section (Insert → Section).
2. In the Insert Section dialogue, go to the Fields tab and enter the Field value.
   
3. Click OK.

The Section, and its Section Field, is inserted in your document.

Set the Section Field value when editing a Section

To update a Section Field's value after you have inserted the Section:

1. Double-click the Section marker.
2. In the Edit Section dialogue, go to the Fields tab and enter a new Field value.
3. Click OK.
