Applies to Typefi Server v8.18 or later.
This guide explains how system administrators can use Job Data Removal to manually remove historical job data from Typefi Server.
Job Data Removal allows you to manually control the storage consumption of historical job data and improve server performance. It does this by removing all job folders and their contents and pruning the job database of corresponding entries, which ensures the permanent removal of any database entries left behind after a scheduled workflow Cleanup.
For example, if you choose to delete data older than three months, all job-related data—created up to three months ago—will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Job Data removal is a one-time action; Typefi Server will not continually delete data older than your specified timeframe. To remove more data in the future, you’ll need to manually run Job Data Removal again. Support for scheduling job data retention is planned for a future release.
Affected data
Job Data Removal permanently removes the following job-related data types:
- Job folders and their contents: This includes the dedicated job folders created for each job and all files and subfolders within them; for example, temporary data, intermediate files, output files, and job-specific log files.
- Job log database entries. This includes pruning entries from the job log database that correspond to the deleted job folders. These entries include metadata such as job ID, job name, start and end times, and job status.
