Configure SharePoint Connector for Typefi Server

Applies to organisations with Typefi Cloud v8.12 or later—Typefi Enterprise or Typefi Teams.
This article guides system administrators in configuring permissions for the SharePoint Connector for Typefi Server.

As a system administrator, it is important to configure the SharePoint Connector for Typefi Server for all users. This will allow Typefi users to easily connect to SharePoint Online within Typefi Cloud without requesting permission each time they sign in.

Prerequisites

• Authorisation: Your organisation's system administrator has authorisation to manage your Microsoft 365 environment within the Microsoft Entra admin center to configure permissions.
• Environment:
  • Use Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online
  • Use Typefi Cloud v8.12 or later (Typefi Enterprise customers, please request an update).

Configure permissions for all Typefi users

Accept permissions within your Typefi Cloud environment

If your organisation’s system administrator can sign in to https://cloud.typefi.net with Typefi credentials, follow these steps:

1. Open a new browser window and enter the URL of your Typefi Server, for example, https://cloud.typefi.net/
2. Sign in to your Typefi Server.
3. Click on your name in the User Menu, for example, John Smith (Typefi), and select Connect to SharePoint.
   
4. Sign in with your organisation’s Microsoft credentials, for example, jsmith@mycompany.com.
5. Click Next.
6. Select the checkbox next to “Consent on behalf of your organization.”
7. Click Accept. (This will allow all Typefi users within your organisation to connect to SharePoint and should sync with Microsoft Entra ID in approximately 15 minutes.)

Accept permissions within Microsoft Entra ID

If your organisation’s system admin is unable to accept permissions with the steps above because they do not have Typefi credentials, follow these steps:

1. Click this link to open the dialog: Microsoft Permissions requested
2. Sign in with your organisation’s Microsoft credentials, for example, jsmith@mycompany.com.
3. Click Accept. (This will allow all Typefi users within your organisation to connect to SharePoint and should sync with Microsoft Entra ID in approximately 15 minutes.)
