When you create a Profile, you can add a variety of automated rules.
Rule (Find what) | Description |
---|---|
Paragraphs with short last lines | The last word, or part of a word, of a paragraph stranded by itself on a line. You can define short lines as a specific number of characters or a percentage of the overall line length. Defining short lines as a percentage is especially useful for very wide or narrow line lengths. |
Paragraphs to fit minimum line count |
Paragraphs with fewer than the specified minimum line count. |
Paragraphs to fit maximum line count |
Paragraphs with more than the specified maximum line count. |
Paragraphs to fit exact line count |
Paragraphs that don't match the specified line count. |
Stories with overset text |
Text that vanishes from your document if it can't fit into its text frame. |
Stories with short final columns | Stories where the final column is shorter than a specified minimum number of lines. |
