Typefitter 5 known issues – Typefi Support

Issue	Workaround
(Windows only) Adobe InDesign 2024 (v19.0.0) breaks your ability to install third-party plug-ins.	We recommend updating to Adobe InDesign 2024 (v19.0.1 or later) and installing Typefitter 5.6, which is compatible with InDesign 2024 (v19.0.1 and later).
macOS will not install Typefitter because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.	Upgrade to Typefitter 5.0.1 or later. Alternatively, follow the troubleshooting steps in this article.
Typefit Styles are not available.	Typefit Styles have been renamed Profiles with Typefitter 5. However, Profiles and automated copy fitting require Typefitter 5 Professional.
White space river highlighter does not detect any rivers.	Reset your InDesign preferences. First, quit InDesign, then hold down the following keys when InDesign re-opening: Windows: Shift + Ctrl + Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files. macOS: Shift + Option + Command + Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files. If resetting your InDesign preferences does not resolve the issue, export the InDesign document to IDML (File → Export → choose InDesign Markup (IDML) as the Format) and then re-open the document.
Custom highlight colors from Typefitter 4 aren't recognised.	Reset your custom highlight colors in the Typefitter preferences.
