When you install Typefitter 5, you may notice some of your Adobe InDesign documents are now marked as "[Converted]".
This only happens to documents that have Typefitter 4 data. Typefitter 5 includes new features that update the document's internal data structures. For example:
- Typefitter 5 now categorises the highlighting level (three tiers) so that data is added to the document.
- Typefitter 5 includes a colour preference for white space rivers. Setting the colour preference means that data is added to the document.
All of this causes InDesign to ‘convert’ the document because internal data has changed even though nothing on the pages has actually changed.
Again, this only applies to legacy Typefitter 4 documents. If you open an existing document without Typefitter 4 (or earlier) data, it should open as usual (not ‘converted’).
