New! Smart Guides help make AutoFit relationships easier.
Smart Guides help you create AutoFit relationships by snap-aligning to the anchor point of the target frame. Now, while you define the child anchor, you will see a dashed line that is the same colour as the layer colour from the parent anchor to the mouse pointer. If the mouse pointer intersects with the geometric bounds of another object, then the object is highlighted using the object's layer colour. If the mouse pointer is within the snapping tolerance of an anchor point, the dashed line snaps to the anchor point. You can specify the snapping tolerance by setting the AutoFit Preferences. Smart Guides are on by default.
See AutoFit Smart Guides in action in this short video.
Smart Guides are only available for AutoFit 8.9 or later.
