A hotfix is an update designed to fix a bug or security hole in our software. Unlike our typical product releases, hotfixes are developed and released as soon as possible to limit the effects of the issue. They are often released between dot releases. That is, the build number will increase, but the major, minor, and dot release numbers will stay the same.
We recommend installing hotfixes as soon as they are released.
