While we do not have an out-of-the-box Google Docs → Typefi workflow integration, our existing Import DOCX workflow action supports documents that lack Typefi markup (that is, they have not been tagged with Typefi Writer). Augmenting this capability with the Modify DOCX and Apply XSL transform actions enables you to achieve equivalent output from Google Docs (or other tools that can export to DOCX) as if you'd tagged the original source content with Typefi Writer.
To use Google Docs as your authoring tool, you will need to:
- Develop (and adhere to) standards for how content is composed within Google Docs, and
- Define a markup guide for "tagging" parts of your document structure that are outside the scope of Google Docs (for example, how to assign Typefi Sections and Elements to blocks of content).
The degree of engagement with Typefi in crafting this integration is up to you—we can provide technical guidance to assist your own development (or a third-party whom you retain for this project), or we could be directly engaged with this endeavour.
If you have questions or want to chat about using Google Docs in your Typefi workflows, please contact us. We're here to help.
