Coming soon: Typefi for Adobe InDesign 2023

Edit: 17 January, 2023 — Typefi Server 8.8, Typefi Designer 8.9, Typefi AutoFit 8.9 and Typefitter Server 5.3 are now compatible with InDesign 2023.

Edit: 15 November, 2022 —Typefitter 5.2 is now compatible with InDesign 2023.

Edit: 20 October, 2022 —Typefi AutoFit 8.8 is now compatible with InDesign 2023.

Day 1 of the 2022 Adobe MAX conference just wrapped in Los Angeles, California. Around 6,000 attendees gathered in person (the first time in two years) along with 10s (100s?) of thousands that joined in virtually to hear Shantanu Narayen, David Wadhwani, Scott Belsky, and others reveal the latest Adobe products, features, and innovations. It was especially exciting to see Adobe InDesign not only featured in the keynote, but to take lead with its Share for Review workflow (which actually debuted in InDesign 2022, but is now coming to Photoshop 2023 and Illustrator 2023).

REVISED: InDesign 2023 (aka InDesign v18) is now available, and Typefi’s plug-in Designer and Typefitter Server are also now available (17 January 2023). Updates for Typefi Designer and Typefitter Server have to wait for the release of InDesign 2023 Server (which typically follows ~30 days after Adobe MAX).

Going forward, if Typefitter or Typefi Designer is critical to your workflows, we recommend that you wait to upgrade or make sure that upgrading doesn’t remove previous versions of InDesign (if you missed the checkbox to not remove previous versions of InDesign, you can re-install and then change automatic updates for individual apps for the future).
