Typefi and Inera partnership strengthens with new reference checking integration
Typefi announces new capability in Typefi Writer to improve referencing quality
Maroochydore, Queensland, AUSTRALIA, Medford, Massachusetts, USA – 7 February 2022 – Typefi, a global leader in single-source automated publishing software, and Inera | An Atypon Company, a global leader in publishing technology, today announced the availability of an integration between Typefi Writer and Edifix, an online bibliographic reference solution from Inera, to improve the quality and accuracy of references within Microsoft Word documents.
Developed for publishers, service providers, editors, and authors, Edifix uses unique and patented technology to help users meet referencing style requirements, ensure accuracy, provide links to cited sources, and save time. Typefi Writer, an add-in for Microsoft Word that enables authors and editors to easily apply structure to Word documents, previously had no built-in reference checking solution. Now, Typefi Writer users can complete this task quickly and easily via Edifix, without needing to leave their Word document. To take advantage of this exciting new integration, Typefi Writer users will require an active Edifix account.
“We are continually looking at ways we can add value to our solutions. Partnering with other technology experts, like Inera, on integrations such as Edifix, helps to ensure our offerings remain relevant, innovative, and ultimately, useful,” said Guy van der Kolk, Product Manager at Typefi. “This integration will save users an enormous amount of time, while vastly improving the accuracy of their referencing. All they need to do is choose an editorial style and Edifix does the legwork for them.”
Typefi and Inera delivered their first integrated solution back in 2007, and since then have built an impressive list of mutual clients including ISO, FASS, WHO, and Standards Australia. These clients continue to benefit from this collaboration of scholarly publishing and production subject matter experts. “We’ve worked with Inera for over 15 years now, integrating both eXtyles and Edifix into the Typefi platform. Through our partnership, we’ve been able to simplify the editorial and publishing process and speed up production for our customers—without compromising on accuracy, design, or content integrity,” said Chandi Perera, CEO at Typefi. “Collaboration is essential for the future of publishing automation. We want to be able to offer our customers the best solution every time, and we do this by partnering with other leading providers.”
“Over the years, Inera’s collaboration with Typefi has accelerated innovation for both our companies and produced benefits for our customers that are more than the sum of our software,” said Elizabeth Blake, Director of Business Development at Inera. “Our integrated technologies provide elegant and practical workflow solutions for publishers across disciplines and content types.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Inera again. The integration between Typefi Writer and Edifix is yet another example of our commitment to deliver innovative solutions that enable our customers to do more,” said Perera.
The Edifix integration is available in Typefi Writer 8.7.2 64-bit edition, released on 7 February 2022.
