COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
Like many around the world, we’ve spent the last several days and weeks learning about COVID-19 (coronavirus) and how it is impacting our world. For Typefi, this means understanding how it affects our team and our customers, and then making necessary adjustments to our work and operations.
We have two simple objectives: keeping our team members safe, and ensuring continued support and service to customers. This has been at the centre of our conversations every step of the way.
With that in mind, we have made several moves in our business in response to the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We’re allowing all team members to work remotely
Typefi is a global company. More than half of our geographically dispersed team have worked remotely from day one, and we are all equipped and empowered to work from home. We are confident in our continued ability to seamlessly connect with each other and with our customers and partners, regardless of our physical work locations.
We’re reducing non-essential travel and suspending visitors to Typefi offices
We always look forward to meeting in person—at conferences, customer workplaces, or at our local offices in Australia and Sri Lanka—but to help reduce community transmission we are proactively rescheduling face-to-face meetings and on-site training to video and teleconferences.
We’ve been reviewing our preparedness
We take great pride in providing reliable and resilient cloud platforms, and are well-equipped to ensure continuity of support and services.
Typefi Cloud is largely automated and self-sustaining with built-in recovery systems, and our team of operations engineers and support staff are dispersed globally. We have detailed contingency plans in place, including plans to manage capacity if staff cannot work due to personal obligations.
Be ready, be safe, be smart, be kind
We don’t yet know how severe COVID-19’s consequences will be. While its impact may be limited, we are taking precautionary steps to be ready.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and encourage the everyday best practices as recommended by local health authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO):
- Keep a distance of at least one (1) metre from persons showing symptoms.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Avoid touching your mouth and nose.
- A medical mask should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others; there is no evidence that wearing a mask protects non-sick persons.
We encourage you to keep up to date with our contingency plans and current status here on the Typefi blog, or get in touch with your Typefi account manager if you have any questions or concerns.
Be ready, be safe, be smart, be kind for coronavirus. To learn more about COVID-19, go to www.who.int/COVID-19.

The team at Typefi
