In Microsoft Word, you can insert page and column breaks to force content to move to a different page. By default, any formatting in Word—including page and column breaks—is ignored during the automated page composition process. The design is specified in the Typefi-ready template (.indd), which is created in Adobe InDesign with Typefi Designer.
However, you can customise your Typefi workflow so that Word's built-in page and column breaks are preserved in the final output:
- Sign in to your Typefi Server and select the appropriate workflow.
- In the Import DOCX workflow action, click the Advanced tab.
- Select Include page breaks.
- Save your changes.
- Run the workflow
KNOWN ISSUE Column breaks in Microsoft Word do not carry through to the final output. There is no workaround at this time.
