You can edit the hyperlink display text and the target in both standard Microsoft Word and Typefi hyperlinks. However, the steps for each are slightly different, depending on the type of hyperlink.

Edit a hyperlink to a web or email address ↩
To edit a Word hyperlink, follow the instructions in Create or edit a hyperlink and Customize the text for a hyperlink.
Edit a Typefi hyperlink ↩
You can edit both the display text and target destination of a Typefi Hyperlink. The display text is the content that is displayed in the Word document, and the target is the 'address' the hyperlink goes to when you click on it.
Edit the display text
To edit the display text of a Typefi hyperlink:
Insert the cursor between the '<'and '>' markers, or highlight the current text displayed between the markers in the text, and make the relevant changes.
Edit the target destination
There are two ways you can edit the target destination of a Typefi hyperlink: clicking on the hyperlink marker or using the Typefi Document Explorer.
To edit the target destination of a Typefi hyperlink using the hyperlink marker:
- Double-click the hyperlink marker in the Word document.
- In the Edit Hyperlink dialogue, click Select.
The Select Hyperlink Source dialogue appears. - If you are linking to a different document, choose it from the Document pop-up menu in the Select Hyperlink Source dialogue.
By default, the active document is selected. NOTE To link to a different document, the workflow must be attached to it. - If you are linking to a paragraph, click the Paragraphs tab; if you are linking to a bookmark, click the Bookmarks tab.
NOTE To use a Bookmark as a target for a Hyperlink, you must first add the Bookmark in Word. - Choose the new target destination from the list.
TIP To make it easier to choose a hyperlink destination in a long list, click either the Sequence, Style, Name, or Text labels to organise the list. Clicking the same label again toggles the sort order between ascending and descending. - Click OK to return to the Edit Hyperlink dialogue.
- Back in the Edit Hyperlink dialogue, click OK to update the hyperlink.
Alternatively, you can use the Typefi Document Explorer to edit the target destination of a Typefi hyperlink:
- Open the Typefi Document Explorer (Typefi tab → Tools area → Explore Document).
- Locate the hyperlink in the Typefi Document Explorer.
TIP Click Categories, and then click Hyperlinks to quickly view all hyperlinks in the document. - Click Edit.
