Other changes
- 8.6.2 Fixed an AutoFit bug introduced with Designer 8.6.1 where text frames with persistent text frame fitting options would repeatedly resize while moving up the page after applying a stroke.
- 8.6.2 Several improvements to scripting features
- Fixed an issue where Typefi Fields could not be deleted using
typefiFieldDefinitions.item(fieldName).remove();
- Fixed an issue where querying a frame's height using
autofitSettings.height()
inadvertently (and invisibly) set the AutoFit min/max height and width limits for the selected frame. Workaround: manually enter "o" in the min/max fields to disable the limits.
- Fixed an issue where Typefi Fields could not be deleted using
- 8.6.1 Fixed an issue where child objects in AutoFit parent-child relationships may not consistently override with their parent objects
- 8.6.1 Fixed a bug introduced with Designer 8.4 where the Primary Text Frame attribute was inadvertently enabled when applying a Main Story text frame type; this occasionally led to instability
- 8.6.1 Fixed a bug where resizing an open path (line) with an applied start or end shape (for example, an arrowhead or other shape) via an AutoFit parent-child relationship caused InDesign to crash
- 8.6.1 Fixed a bug where choosing Apply selected section from the Typefi Sections panel menu omitted critical information required to enable this section to export to Content XML
- Cleaned up the display names for Typefi panel and context menus (for example, if customising your workspace; for more information, see Workspace and Workflow → Customize menus and keyboard shortcuts)
- Continued work on supporting IDML-based roundtrip of Typefi markup additions (Fields, Frames, Elements, and Sections; see Known issues below)
Known issues
- Font Style Linking warnings and errors have not yet been localised for Spanish
- It's not easy to locate Typefi Field instances within a document via scripting (other than looking for text wrapped in U+FEFF characters, but this is not reliable as it is also used for other purposes by InDesign)
- Exporting a Typefi-enabled document to IDML removes most Typefi additions (except for AutoFit parent-child relationships, auto-sizing behaviors, and frame size constraints)
