Issue
An invalid setting in the Filestore.properties file can cause InDesign jobs to produce no output even though the job appears to have run successfully. You may also observe a JavaScript error 54 in the InDesign Server log, for example:
Error Number: 54
Error String: Uncaught JavaScript exception: Could not open log file (D:/FilestoreHello World/PDF from INDD/2017-08-27 23.32.45/logs/01 Export to PDF.log).
Background
The following conditions can cause this behavior to occur:
- The value entered for your InDesign Server (go to Admin → InDesign → Filestore Path) does not match or resolve to the value entered for Admin → Filestore → Folder (for example, a trailing slash appended to Filestore → Folder will trigger this behavior)
- You are running a job that includes an InDesign workflow action
Solution
- Log into Typefi as an administrator
- Verify that the Admin → Filestore → Folder path and your InDesign → Filestore Path values match or resolve to the same directory
- Click Save
Or
- Update to Typefi Server 8.4 and Adobe InDesign plug-in version 20
